THE ARTS OF NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY by Peter Yeo HT ( ARPS )

HomeWelcomeMay 9, 2006
Thanks for visiting my Multiply site!

I have a deep passion for nature photography. I love nothing better than wandering around the green jungles and forests in my Country Singapore, sitting down listening and enjoy to the birds and insects singing with the fresh air blowing against my face to make me feel fresh and relaxed.

Photography is My Hobby, My Arts and My Form of Exercise.

My Hobby – I usually spend most of my free time shooting Macro and Close-up photos on insects and flowers, but sometime I also like shooting peoples and landscapes.

My Arts – Thought Photography it creates a piece of Arts. A way to communicate with each other like showing an image of beautiful places, things and people.

My Form of Exercise – Thinking you are going to walk around carrying 5kgs of camera equipment with you it does use up a lot of energy.

I seriously start photography was when the most affordable Digital SLR camera came into the market, it was Canon EOS 300D. Before that I own a SLR camera but seldom use due to expensive in photos processing. I always love reading books and magzines related to Photography and learn some basic skills throught Talks or Seminars from Professional Photographer like Mr. R Lan Llyoyd (Mr. National Geographic) and Mr. Michael Yamashita(another National Geographic Photographer) and some other local Professional Photographer etc. In local I am a member with SAFRA Photographic Club and Macpherson CC Photographic Club. As for oversea I join Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain (RPS) as an oversea member which I am holding a title of LRPS in year 2007 and presently ARPS in year 2009.

 Presently I own 2 Canon EOS systems, 10D & 40D DSLR camera with a Tamron 180mm f/3.5 1:1 Macro Lens, Canon EF-S 18mm - 200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Travel Lens and Canon 50mm f/1.8 Prima Lens together with Tripod/Monopod and Ext Flash.

As for camera bags, I use Lowepro DryZone Rover for all my Nature adventurous and long hikes in rainforest surrounding. Because it has dual compartment; top compartment is for my extra clothing and other things I can efford to get wet, whereas the bottom compartment hold all my camera gear and best thing is it was completely waterproof: no water gets in ever if I throw it into the sea or river. I feel fully safe and dry with this bag. Another bag I have use is Kata 3 in 1 - 20 sling plus backpack. This is a wonderful camera bag, you can change from a sling bag to a normal backpack in a mins. you can even draw out your camera without the bag touching the ground or leave your body. Alway have it beside you. I use this bag when I go Oversea Travelling or Walkabout Photographic Outting in local. I fully know that my camera gear is safe and sound ever in an unknow places or countrys.

Appreciate for your comments and critiques so that I can improve on my future works. Thank you for viewing.

Cheers
